I hate being a dog at Christmas ..Part two

I hate being a dog at Christmas ..Part two

It’s here again.
the day of the Sprout,
Everyone’s here
but won’t take me out.

I still get patted,
and told to “move”,
but where do I move to?
in this leggy crowd.

It’s quieter this year,
and I don’t know why,
grandpa’s not here,
making some of ’em cry.

The smells are the same.
and the clatter of pots,
I hope my dinner is ready
and this time,  I get lots.
