Wadswick Green Unveils Two New Showhomes and launches Virtual Viewings
Wadswick Green, the modern and popular later living village for the over 60s in Corsham, Wiltshire, has unveiled two new showhomes in their Ash Lane and Almond Close phases.
Decorated by interior designer Rebekah Jones of Ombre Interior Designs, these new showhomes add to the existing complex of showhomes available to view. They may be visited on an appointment-basis and have also been entirely scanned in 3D, meaning potential purchasers can arrange virtual tours from the comfort of their own home.
Prospective buyers can book an appointment with a dedicated member of the sales team for a virtual viewing. The Sales Advisor will be able to answer any questions and concerns the viewers may have, as well as allow them to focus on and explore aspects of the showhomes as the virtual tour progresses, just like they would if they were physically present.
There is now a library of virtual tours to be viewed, covering each apartment style currently for sale at Wadswick Green, with the five showhomes including one, two and three bedroom apartments. The homes showcase the village’s contemporary model, boasting a colourful, modern design with stylish furniture in line with the active and independent lifestyle enjoyed by today’s retirees.
Commenting on the concept of the new showhomes, designer Rebekah Jones says: “To me, Wadswick Green is all about breaking down barriers – there is far too much clichéd design out there aimed at the senior living market and Rangeford Villages is all about individuality, modernity and a future proof living solution. The question I always ask myself at the start of every new project is “would I personally want to live in this interior, and I’m pleased to say the answer is always yes.”
Rebekah adds: “‘The Avebury’ showhome in Ash Lane is very much about playing with colour and texture and all the joy that can bring. The various spaces certainly make a statement whilst putting a smile on your face. In contrast, the look in the Almond Close ‘The Lacock‘ showhome is far more tonal with a pared back colour palette – it’s a strong and impactful look which is achieved through the use of bold furniture choices and lashings of black… a colour so many of us are afraid of….and a splash of purple for the sofa.” Balconies have also been furnished, showing how to bring the inside out and vice versa through the large picture windows.
The showhomes also showcase the assisted living model on offer at Wadswick Green, with all apartments designed with the over 60s in mind. Kitchens are innovative and modern with moveable island units; high-quality hardwood flooring and the latest Neff appliances including slide and hide oven doors. Bathrooms feature easily accessible walk-in-showers and luxury taps and fittings, as well as a bath in the two and three bed apartments.
To promote an independent lifestyle, all homes at Wadswick Green have their own front door and feature wide entrances and lifts as well as high-efficiency double-glazed windows, providing a bright and cheerful feel. Thorough insulation supports the energy efficient underfloor heating.
Residents will be able to take advantage of The Greenhouse Coffee Shop and Restaurant, which has reopened to residents and their friends and family, as well as continuing the takeaway service. There are also beautiful landscaped gardens, and the village boasts access to the surrounding nature.
A detailed set of working practices and protocols has been put in place throughout the village to ensure staff, residents and visitors keep safe and that services operate safely and in line with the latest guidance from Government and Public Health Authorities regarding Covid-19.
The village community at Wadswick Green adapted to ‘lockdown life’ very quickly with the support of the onsite team. Activities and services were tailored, making sure everyone was safe, happy and stimulated. Now summer has arrived and life steers towards normality there is even more to do at Wadswick Green.
