Walking in Lockdown

Walking in Lockdown

I went out for my walk today
The sun was shining bright.
I didn’t go to walk a dog
Nor did I take my bike.

I simply walked in solitude
Took in the sights and sounds,
Of nature, bright and full of life
And squirrels leap and bound!

Rivers running clear and free
Sparkling as they tumble,
And in the distance I now hear
The sound of thunder rumble.

I drink in all the beauty
I see along the way,
Then off I go on my way home
Reflecting this awesome day!
