A mindfulness moment

A mindfulness moment

A mindfulness moment
Looking up to the sky
The leaves of a birch tree
Swaying up high.

Each branch perfectly positioned
Each one told where to grow
Knowing each single leaf
Will put on a show.

A tree once which was climbed
When the children played
Seen plenty of falls
No broken bones made.

Branches so strong
A swing once hung from the tree
Memories made
But not only for me.

But now only a birdbox
Welcome to Bluetit hotel
Sorry, no vacancies
All chicks doing well.

A seat placed underneath
For sure it’s seen better days
A foxglove growing through
An added feature, I would say.

And in the morning when the sun wakes
Shadows dancing too and fro
Glistening cobwebs show there beauty
Perfection, I’d say so.
