Imagine if you will a world caught in the clutches of a deadly virus previously unknown
Mirroring a sci-fi script of a popular series called the Twilight Zone
Where countries are locked down and their borders closed
Quarantines and self-distancing have been imposed

Medical personnel in hazmat suits are setting up mobile ICUs
While a fearful public watch and read every bulletin of news
Insufficient personal protective equipment have placed frontline staff in jeopardy
While many have become infected waiting for a remedy

Overcrowding with critical patients it’s reported some healthcare systems
Sadly chose by age who may be survivors or victims
While scientists search for an antiviral drug society tries to stop the spread of this contagion
By adopting strict personal hygiene to fight further contamination

This is not a work of science fiction referred to previously to entertain
It’s happening right now worldwide and with collaboration we will end this Covid-19’s  reign
Resume life as we knew it happy to be alive
Enlightened not entitled we will survive and thrive
