New and fun things to do whilst self-isolating
Spending more time at home than we usually do could be put to productive use so here are three suggestions that will keep you occupied and inspired.
Sing out loud with Gareth Malone
If you are member of a choir and missing the weekly practice, then how about registering with Gareth Malone’s Great British Chorus.
The Great British Home Chorus aims to give everyone the opportunity to contribute their voices and instruments to a digital music project.
To get involved all you have to do is register and they will email you with all the information you need. So lubricate those vocal chords and give it a go!
Learn a language
What better way to start thinking about all the holidays you’ll be able to take once this is over than by learning the language of the countries you aim to visit.
Duolingo is a free to download, language learning app where you can spend as little as 10 minutes a day perfecting the language of your choice. There are over 30 languages to choose from and your plan is personalised to your ability across speaking, listening, reading and writing.
Shake those hips
How about learning to shake those hips with this free exercise video for beginners. The combination of music and exercise can help to lift mood and belly dancing really ticks all the boxes.
And not only does belly dancing give your body a good work out, this 45 minute class aims to improve flexibility and core strength too.
