My Garden
My Garden
What I want, if you will pardon
Is to acquire a plastic garden
No wriggling worms to eat the roots
No greenfly gobbling up the shoots
No dandelions, no stinging nettles
No withering leaves aspot brown freckles
No dirty fingernails or thorns
Nor snails to flex protruding horns
No ants to bite, no wasps to sting
I’d be quite safe, not do a thing
But if it did need freshening up
Just hurl washup liquid from a cup
Then when it did start to rain
It would be good as new again
Although I’d never be content
Until I’d sprayed it all …….with scent
