Dilemmas of a Modern Mermaid
Dilemmas of a Modern Mermaid
Arabella had a wish
To be a girl and not a fish.
Fed up of sitting on the sand
Comb and mirror in her hand
Tossed about by raging tide
Put a dent upon her pride
Waves and riptides must confess
Left her hair in quite a mess
Mermaids wear necklaces…..sing
Not swim between glass bottles, string
Plastic bags and empty cans
Really did upset her plans
She prayed her beauty wouldn’t fail her
She would lure a passing sailor
Ditch her watery home and scales
Grow legs…….buy shoes in the sales.
