Visiting Grannie
It’s pantomime time again!
Red Riding Hood
As the day was rather chill,
I donned my red cloak
Halfway through the trees
I met with this woodcutter bloke
He asked where I was going,
I replied my granny’s sick
These goodies in my basket,
will buck her up right quick
He said I must be careful,
that I should be aware
Of creatures that had big red eyes,
which gave frightful stare
When I arrived at grannies
I tiptoed to her room
Found the curtains shut,
the house was filled with gloom
Poor grannie did look out of place
She’d a great big nose, plus hair on face
Many whiskers on her chin,
Also possessed a fearful grin
Great big eyes, horrendous teeth
Her nightie, God knows what lay beneath
I looked at her tucked up in bed
Turned around and off I fled
