Just words
I wrote this poem a few years ago. And as your photo Friday subject was words I, thought you might enjoy this. Poem.
Words we use them everyday,
At work, at school, at home, at play,
Read them, write them sign them, rhyme them,
Express them in the things we say,
Engrave them into wood and clay.
We dot the I’s and cross the T’s,
Put in full stops, apostrophes,
We make them into sentences,
Words make us laugh, they make us cry,
you can even fly them in the sky
There on our clothes, and on our roads,
Vocabulary just grows and grows,
Words are here, Words are there,
Words they are just everywhere.
