One moment in time

One moment in time

Our shadows caught
One warm spring day
Just me and the dog
As we walked on our way.

I stop for one moment
The dog does the same
To picture this shadow
A memory to frame.

Caught on camera
Unfortunately not
One moment in time
That won’t be forgot.

Were stood side by side
No wrinkles or rolls
A shadow of time
Bearing two souls,

No made up face
Or dolled up to the nines
A shadow reveals nothing
Only your size.

Age spots not visible
No double chin
No picture to view
To share or zoom in.

Don’t have to pay cloud
To look at it later
Or pay over the odds
To get extra data.

Stored in my memory
To view anytime
Caught by our shadow
One moment in time.
