Brassed Off
Brassed Off
I’m a little plastic cherub, who waited for her turn
On a cold conveyor belt, to be dipped into an urn.
That was filled with molten, swirling mass,
Though it wasn’t gold but cheap stuff, brass
T’was dreadfully draughty lying there as I was in the nude
Naked apart from outstretched wings, so I felt rather rude
Then I took a dive, I got a coat… at last my assets hid
Tho’ I was shocked at what came next, for this is what they did
They took a stick and punctured, yes, holed to hang on tree
So I’d look down and watch them in their Christmas revelry
But I feel rough, I have a chill, likewise a nasty cough
They may be merry but I’m not….. in fact I’m right brassed off!
