Autumns Wane
Autumn’s wane
In Autumn mature nature does wane
With musty mushrooming and lace
Autumnal colour is made plain
Its harvest ripens, sweet to taste
Vivid orange, gold and vane
Summer green is laid to waste
It shines and glitters before the rain
Marking out the final race
‘Til winter destroys it beauteous reign.
