Young Lions
Young Lions
So many greats, so many games
So many famous household names.
So many hopes, so many tears.
So many losses drowned with beers.
The three lions proudly on each shirt.
The penalties, the days of hurt.
The time we thought we might just win
Having the dream is not a sin.
The nearly theres, the oh so close
Those were the times that hurt the most.
The penalties when luck ran dry,
All we could do was watch and sigh.
And now we have a fresh young team
And once again we dare to dream
If these new Lions come on and score
Then you will hear all England roar.
