Waves in the woods

Waves in the woods

Waves in the woods
Brought by a magical tide
A soft gentle breeze
Takes the leaves for a ride.

The sun shining down
Highlights the leaves
The branches swaying
Holding on to the trees.

The sway of the tide
Rippling waves
On a path in the woods
A vision to save.

I’ve seen woods carpeted in bluebells
Tree’s stripped bare of there leaves
But I’ve never seen water
Surrounding the trees.

The warming sun
Sends a yellow haze
A picture of beauty
With heartwarming rays.

As the sun disappears
So does the magical tide
No more waves in the wood
Just trees that stand side by side.
