‘Her Little Country Cottage’.
‘Her Little Country Cottage’.
In her ‘Little Country Cottage’ by a railway and a stream,
lived a little old lady, with nothing but a dream:
Day by day, night by night.
everything stood still and
no one came within sight.
Has the Lord forsaken me, the lady began to fear,
Then all of a sudden happiness grew quick
in the heart of the lady
who was very, very sick,
when out of the clouds came a coach of colour grey,
and out stepped her long lost love
who carried her away.
