Myself and my lover!
Myself and my lover!
How do I love you, what can I say?
Is it the things that we do every day?
Just getting by, just getting along?
Or melting my heart with your sweet lilting song?
Why do I love you, how can this be?
Is it because you are devoted to me?
Two hearts entwining, with two golden bands?
Or gently reclining, and just holding hands?
How can you know, what I hold in my heart?
Not wanting in life, to be ever apart.
Two souls together, enjoined for life,
A simple example, of husband and wife.
Why do I love you, need I ever say?
My life is part of you, each God-given day.
All of my being, and all that I do,
Can only exist, because I am with you.
Here my devotion, this confession is made.
Life, and it’s living, cannot be replayed,
My satisfaction is here in my heart,
Myself, and my lover, never apart!
