RegisterThe Middle East has a great variety of wonderful holiday destinations like Dubai, Oman and Abu Dhabi.
The food in many hotels and restaurants is now on a par with major European cities and there is a wonderful choice of activities.
One lovely way to see Dubai is to have a 45 minute trip on a seaplane which set off from a number of sites in Dubai. Seawings flights go on a panoramic flight over Dubai taking in views such as the Burj Al Khalifa the worlds tallest building at 2,800 feet, the Palm which is a man-made island with home and amazing hotels like the Atlantis.
Another wonder of Dubai is “The World” a group of small islands again man made which in the heady days before the 2008 property crash were selling for amazing amounts to the super rich. Rod Stewart was rumoured to have purchased Scotland!
On the Seawings seaplane passengers have a panoramic view of The World and can see that only one island has actually got a house on it and some palm trees! An amazing site. All the other islands just consist of sand and are waiting for a rebirth of the property boom and hoping for rich investors.
From January onwards the weather in Dubai is mostly warm and pleasant only becoming very hot (35 degrees) by mid May. By September the extreme heat has largely subsided and beautiful sunny weather can be enjoyed for many months; perfect for golf, lazing by the pool or enjoying balmy dinners at some of the finest hotels and restaurants which can be found in venues such as the Souk Madinat Jumeirah
All the major airlines service the Middle East and you can get there in comfort and style in just seven hours if you’re travelling from London. You have a choice of great airlines including British Airways, Virgin or Emirates.
