Quiz: How far would you get on the Great British Bake Off?

Put your baking knowledge to the test.

After the huge revelation that it would move from its BBC home to Channel 4, and lose presenters Mel and Sue, and of course Mary Berry, The Great British Bake Off returns tonight.

Twelve baking hopefuls will don their aprons and face Paul Hollywood’s steely glare in the tent, as they attempt to wow by tackling signature bakes, technical challenges and showstoppers.

But if you’ve found yourself yelling, “You don’t add the butter like that!” at the TV, and reckon you could make much better focaccia or Bakewell tarts than the contestants, read on…
