Scary day!
Scary day!
We went into town, it was sunny,
One busy day last week,
When, ‘er indoors’ went funny,
And started playing, ‘hide and seek’.
I’d just popped off for a wee, you see,
As men of my age do,
I’d be as quick as I could be,
Just going to the loo.
But she was quick, she moved away,
And hid inside the store,
And when I came back from the loo that day,
I couldn’t find her anymore.
I wandered into footwear,
Looked around and stopped to pause,
But I couldn’t see her anywhere,
(I even fumbled in their draws).
I stood in ladies dresses,
(didn’t like the look of that),
Still no sign of her blonde tresses,
(But I looked lovely in that hat).
I wandered into ‘fancies’,
And I stood along a thong,
But I was getting some strange glances,
(So I didn’t stay there long).
I stepped across to girdles,
Those things that hold it in,
And I held my breath till it curdled,
(Although I really felt quite thin).
And when it came to nightwear,
My feelings were quite flat,
I thought I saw her over there,
(But I wouldn’t sleep in that!).
Then finally I found her,
(That saved a heart attack),
Then I put my arms around her,
(And I asked for my wallet back !) Lol.
