Should have gone to Specsavers
Should have gone to Specsavers
Last night I lost my glasses,
I hunted far and wide,
I couldn’t think where they might be,
They’re always by my side.
I’d planned a lovely meal for tea,
But found I had to squint,
‘Twas hard to read the recipe,
Why do they use small print?
The rice was cooked,
The veggies steamed,
The meat done to perfection
But all was not as it first seemed
On taking close inspection.
For what was roasting with the meat
Amid the warm molasses,
Was not a parsnip sticky sweet,
But a pair of mislaid glasses!
So here’s my word of warning folks,
Take heed my misadventures
And should you come round for a meal
Be glad I don’t wear dentures!
