Someone at the door

Someone at the door

Don’t you just hate it
When your at home
And someone comes calling
When you wanted to be alone.

Shall I answer?
Or pretend I’m not in
Hide behind the sofa,
Or shall I just let them in.

They knock again
Your heart races
I take a peep
Don’t know there faces.

How very rude
Just answer the door
They know your in
As you rise from the floor.

Oh we were just going
Didn’t think you were in
What ever you decide
You’ll never win.

Now here comes the window cleaner
You can’t hide from him
He cleans every window
So knows when your in.

So when someone calls
Answer the door
Except if it’s teatime
They can go next door.
