Do you want to play
Do you want to play
Jump in, jump out
Turn, jump on
Cross the elastic
Let’s have some fun
Jump to the left, jump to the right
French elastic
We could play all night.
Who’s for skipping?
Get the rope
Need two turners
No volunteers, we vote. Raspberry, strawberry, Apple jam tart,
Tell me the name of your sweetheart. A, B, C and so on
No need for tears, it’s just for fun. They’ve all gone in,
I’ll skip alone
The faster you go
The rope whistles on.
Ten Jack pick -up
Drop the ball
From one to ten
Did you get them all.
A game of rounders
Pick your team
You can’t have all the fast one’s
That’s really mean
My turn to bat
I give it some wellie
I hit someones greenhouse
My legs turn to jelly,
Everyone run, we’ll meet after tea
Nobody tell that the batsman was me.
All bring your marbles
We’ll do some swaps
I’m not bringing mine
I’ll say I forgot,
See I know every marble
Looked after with care
I don’t mind admitting
I don’t like to share.
What ever we played
We always had fun
Just memories now
That my childhood has gone.
