Take a trip down memory lane, when little girls had fun playing in the big outdoors!
Little girls
Little girls with ‘raggy dolls’ and ribbons in their hair,
Skipping with a little rope, and dancing in the air,
Playing with a ‘whip and top’, playing in the street,
Little girls with ‘raggy dolls’ playing oh so sweet.
Threading little ‘daisy chains’, how long will they be?
Sitting in a field of them, all shining merrily,
Making crowns for little girls to place among their hair,
Little girls with ‘raggy dolls’ playing in the summer air.
Having little ‘parties’ tea and cakes for friends,
Little cups and saucers, the magic never ends,
Sip your drink so nicely, sitting in the sun,
Little girls with ‘raggy dolls’ having lots of fun.
Playing with a ‘hula – hoop’, round and round it goes.
Draw a game of ‘hopscotch’, keeping on your toes,
Little games for nothing in our childhood days,
For little girls with ‘raggy dolls’, who followed children’s ways
