REMEMBRANCE DAY …
Remember me
as you look upon my wind-blown sea
of upturned red faces, glowing in the sun.
Never still
Full of life.
Full of hope.
Carriers of the shattered dream
of so many brave, young men.
Gone, but not forgotten.
My ‘Sea of Red’ will forever signify
how unpredictable life can be.
Alive!
A joyous feeling!
Full of hope, until the winds of change blow,
taking with them the beauty of life as,
one by one, each petal falls, bloeed-red to the ground.
Just like so many brave, young men.
gone, but not forgotten.
Just remember me.
It’s all I ask.
I hope you come to know why I paid the ultimate price.
You’re free – to take in the beauty of life.
As each year passes, my blood-red carpet of death feeds the earth,
giving life to the next generation.
Just like so many brve, young men.
Gone but not forgotten.
Remember me …
