Silversurfers Members – Write to Win!

Silversurfers has a huge range of articles and features for all our visitors and we are always looking to expand this. Everyone over 50 has a wealth of life experience and a range of hobbies, sports and interests which others can benefit, learn from and enjoy.

We are looking for articles from all our visitors and they can cover any subject – your special hobby, your own experiences, a favourite story, poetry or some interesting information. Maybe you have always had a passion for writing and have the beginnings of a book in your head and want to test the water? Whatever it is, we would love to hear from you. Each month we will pick one winner based on our view of the best, and send them an Amazon gift voucher worth £25, and if they would like an acknowledgment we will publish their name as well. We will also publish any other stories that we believe our visitors will find interesting! Ideally articles should be between 300-800 words and include a picture  (High resolution 900 x 600 at 72dpi if possible) for us to include.*

Please submit your writing via email to Sally@silversurfers.com for review.

We look forward to hearing from you!

I was under the impression that a place for short stories would be available on this site. I have some poems on here but I am also an ardent short story writer and would appreciate a short story section.
I do like this site though, I find it interesting.

Hello Tel-boy ... thank you for your feedback ... we are currently making modifications to the website, and on my list of improvements, is to separate the poetry from the short stories. I will let you know when this change has been made. Sally 🙂

Hello Reggie, The area for just writing what takes your fancy is the Forum, which I think you have already found. The T's & C's can be found by easily clicking on the words above which are highlighted in blue .. anything in blue is a link to more information. 🙂

I don't know where anything is on here, let alone t and c's.
I didn't realise one had to submit a blog, I just thought one could write one. I wasn't looking for prizes, just somewhere to breathe out.

don't you have anything like that? perhaps this site isn't for me.
I just like to write is all, no flummery.
